The first bingo of the season will be held at St. Mary's Parish Center, Second and Union streets, this Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Assembled Men of St. Mary's.

The kitchen will be open at 11:30 a.m. for sit-in or takeout.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Fourth and Pine streets, will host a spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

The menu consists of spaghetti, green salad, rolls with butter, drinks and homemade desserts. Proceeds benefit Falling Whistles which is a campaign for peace in the Congo and Trinity's Sidewalk Fund.
