According to Joseph Keglovits, chair of the North Catasauqua Betterment Committee, a total of 66 volunteers assisted the committee during the recent Small Town USA Carnival.
"Their help and participation helped make the carnival a big success ane run smoothly," he said.
Keglovits also expressed appreciation to North Catasauqua Borough Council, borough office staff and members of the public works, fire and police departments for their assistance and to band sponsors Reichel Funeral Home, Horwith Trucks, Willow Brook Golf Course, Force 1 Towing & Repair and to all of the businesses that donated prizes for the big raffle.
The betterment committee also hosted a Small Town USA Golf Tournament June 23. Keglovits said the committee appreciates the sponsors and golfers who participated in that fundraising event as well.

The North Catasauqua Recreation Committee continues to sponsor free summertime fun for area residents at the borough park pavilion.
Coming up next is Family Night on July 17, beginning at 7 p.m. The theme of this year's event is "Talent Show." If you or your children have a talent to share with the community, come prepared to perform!

Don't forget, the borough will be celebrating the 100th birthday of the former North Catasauqua Elementary School, now North Catasauqua Borough Hall, in August. The betterment committee is looking for old pictures, report cards, pictures of the building inside or out, and any other artifacts or mementos of the school, to be displayed during an open house.

North Catasauqua car magnets (also make great refrigerator magnets) and T-shirts are available for sale at North Catasauqua Borough Hall during regular business hours. Proceeds from the logo items go toward North Catasauqua Betterment Committee projects and events.
