Seats are still available for a seminar hosted by state Rep. Gary Day, R-187th, that will focus on updates and proposed changes to the state's Small Games of Chance Act.
"As many officials with local nonprofit organizations and clubs are likely aware, there have been recent changes made to the Small Games of Chance Act that both increase prize limits but add more accountability," Day said. "Many residents and club officials have contacted my office with questions and have voiced their concerns about the new requirements.
"I appreciate the feedback on how we can further amend the law."
To keep everyone updated on both the changes and new legislation affecting small games of chance, Day will host an informational seminar on 6-9 p.m. April 11, at TEK Park, 9999 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
A representative from the Pennsylvania State Police's Bureau of Liquor Enforcement will be available to discuss the changes to the law.
Attendees will also be updated on House Bill 290, which Day co-sponsored and for which he voted. This bill, currently in the state Senate, was introduced to help nonprofit organizations and charities better comply with the state's Small Games of Chance Law.
Anyone wanting to attend should contact Day's office at 610-760-7082 by April 5.
