Crossroads Community Church, which meets at Weisenberg Elementary School, 2665 Golden Key Road, is having an Easter Eggstravaganza community egg hunt, 10 a.m.-noon March 30.

There will be 5,000 prize and candy-filled eggs for toddlers to fifth-graders, carnival games, crafts and family photos.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be inside.

Weisenberg Lutheran Church will serve Holy Communion 7:30 p.m. March 28 Maundy Thursday.

Good Friday service will be 7:30 p.m. Holy Communion will be served at 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Easter Sunday.

The annual Sunday School egg hunt will take place 1 p.m. March 30.

Maundy Thursday service is 7 p.m. March 28. Good Friday worship services are noon and 7 p.m. March 29. Easter morning begins with a 6 a.m. vigil service in the cemetery, followed by the UCC service at 8:30 a.m. with Holy Communion.

The Lutheran service is 11:05 a.m. with Holy Communion.

Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2096 Independent Road, New Smithville, will host Friday Night at the Movies March 22.

"Apocalypse II: Revelation" will be shown at 7 p.m. Come and see what happens when terrorism and one-world government rises to power in the last days.

Lighthouse Baptist will host a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. followed by the Lord's Supper.

"The Ten Commandments" movie will be shown at 6 p.m. Good Friday. Bring the family, friends and neighbors to see this classic film.

Easter Sunrise service begins at 6:15 a.m. followed by breakfast.

The Easter Cantata, "Because He Lives," will be presented by the choir at 10:30 a.m.

Claussville Garden Club will begin its yearly meetings at the Seipstown Grange 7:30 p.m. April 1.

Fred Buse will discuss "A Day in the Spring – Setting the Stage for the Birds." The community is welcome to attend.

So dust off those winter-white thumbs and bring your "green thumbs" for a nice evening with friends and neighbors.

There is still time to order meat pies to benefit the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department.

Chicken, sausage or beef pies are available in 6-inch or 9-inch sizes from Zook's Homemade Pies.

Orders must be placed by April 3. Pickup is 4:30-6:30 p.m. April 18 at the fire department.

Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, Luckenbill Road, adjacent to Kutztown University, is sponsoring Easter on the Farm 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 23 .

There will be folklife demonstrations, children's crafts, traditional crafters, vendors, Old Time Plow Boys, Reading Berks Guild of Craftsmen, and an Easter egg hunt.

Reading-Berks Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen will host its 11th annual Juried Spring Fine Arts and Crafts Festival in Keystone Hall, at Kutztown University 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 6 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 7.

There will be scherenschnitte paper cuttings, redware, basketry, wheat weaving, dried florals, folk art and much more.

Live music, refreshments and door prizes will also be featured.

Proceeds benefit the guild's educational programs.
