Guaranteed good! Heidelberg Union Church, Church and Irvin roads, in the Saegersville area, is having a family-style feast of homemade breaded pork cutlets with cabbage and noodles, March 16. Snow date is March 23.

Included with the meal are freshly baked breads, desserts and assorted beverages.

At the last supper, Heidelberg cooks report there were requests for the return of family-style dinners instead of buffets.

They are happy to say the dinner on March 16 will be served family style.

Limited seating times are 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Public is invited! Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli, will be having its annual Spring Sportsmen's Raffle and Block Shoot, on March 17.

This event is one of Ontelaunee's best known traditions and offers free beverages and snacks noon-6 p.m.

In addition to a block shoot, there will be a trap shoot. Numerous drawings will be held throughout the day with special ones at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Although tickets are not needed to attend, purchasing a few will surely give you a good chance of winning numerous ham certificates (40) and $3,154 worth of guns and shooting equipment, etc.

So, mark your calendar and plan on having a great time reminiscing with old friends while welcoming new members.

This year's spring green tickets are compliments of A.F. Boyer Hardware and Guns, Main Street, Slatington.

All women welcome! On March 25, Heidelberg Church's Women of Faith Group will meet 7 p.m.

This busy bunch of ladies will be making decorations and planning the menu for the upcoming Heidelberg Church's Mother's Day Tea Party on May 4.

No talent is needed to attend, just a helping hand.

Family favorites! The Germansville Fire Company is once again selling its famous potato filling and hot bacon dressing just in time for Easter.

These delicious dinner delights may be ordered by calling Harold at 610-767-4400. Orders are due by March 27.

Pick up your filling in the upstairs kitchen of the fire hall 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 30.
