Parkland High School auditorium was filled with anxious and cheering family and fans during the annual Mr. Parkland contest Feb. 9.

Fifteen seniors Boima Anderson, Nathan Case, Chris D'Imperio, Tyler Duff, Jake Grim, Luke Klecan, Akil Lewis, Zach Luettgen, AJ Mehta, John Pellosie, Alex Petyerak, Josh Reichard, Xavier Roden, Chad Snyder and Marcus Spiegel competed for the title exhibiting a variety of talents.

Music, karate, dance and humor were all used by the contestants to show their individual talents.

Judges Jaciel Cordoba, anchor for Channel 69 News; Tina Fischetti of B104 Mike and Steph in the Morning; Suzanne Giovino of Jon's Bridal by Suzanne and Lori Patrick from Expressions Photography worked diligently to keep score and report quickly to scorekeeper Eric Roberts.

When the scores were tabulated, second runner-up was Luke Klecan, first runner-up was Xavier Roden and Marcus Spiegel was crowned Mr. Parkland 2013.
