Family favorites! The Germansville Fire Company is once again selling its famous potato filling and hot bacon dressing just in time for the Christmas holiday.

Filling is sold by the pound, and will serve approximately two individuals.

To have a little left over for the next day, be sure to order plenty.

To order, call Harold at 610-767-4400 no later than Dec. 21.

Orders may be picked up in the upstairs kitchen 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 24.

As always, bring your own container for your filling and thanks much for your continued support.

At this time, it is also nice to note that more than 1,600 pounds of potato filling and 100 pints of bacon dressing were made and sold at Thanksgiving.

Hats off to the numerous volunteers who help make the filling fundraisers such a great success each year.

Spread the word! All are welcome to attend Heidelberg Union Church's 8 p.m. Christmas Eve service. The UCC service will be at 11 p.m.

A musical prelude will begin at 7:40 p.m., followed by the service of worship. Special inspirational music will be provided, with traditional scripture lessons read.

The Union service will conclude with the lighting of candles.

Refreshments will be served between services for those attending both.

If inclement weather results in the need to cancel worship service or Sunday School at Heidelberg Church, tune in to radio station WAEB 790 AM or WFMZ TV Channel 69.

Mark your calendar! Members of Heidelberg Union Church is cooking up a pork and sauerkraut supper on Jan. 1, 2013. Snow date is Jan. 5, 2013.

Plan ahead! Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will meet in Heidelberg Church's fellowship hall 11 a.m. Jan. 8, 2013.

After a brief meeting and light lunch, this lively bunch of retirees will spend the afternoon playing everyone's favorite games and cards.

It's of no surprise that lunch is a highlight of these monthly get-togethers, so don't forget to bring along a covered dish to share.
