The public is invited! On Sept. 30, the Northwestern Lehigh Alumni Association is sponsoring a "Basket Bingo" at the Lynnport Fire Company, 7164 Behler Road, Lynnport.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Bingo starts 1 p.m. Tickets will be held at the door.
In addition to 20 games and all baskets being filled, there will be door prizes, three specials, hostess raffles and a Chinese auction. Food will also be available for purchase.
Bring a canned good to benefit Christ's Church at Lowhill Food Pantry and get a free raffle ticket.
The Alumni Association, a subsidiary of the Northwestern Lehigh Education Foundation, raises funds to help all of the children in the Northwestern Lehigh School District.
This is the main fundraiser for the year.

Mark your calendar! Heidelberg Union Church is having a basket social and bake sale 5-7:30 p.m. Oct. 5.
Donations of baskets are most needed. Donations for door prizes and any kind of baked goods are also appreciated.
Some suggestions for baskets include: kitchen gadgets, bath and body products for men and women, children's books, baby items, candles, toys and treats for dogs and cats.
Place baskets in a clear cellophane gift bag with a 3-inch by 5-inch card attached describing the contents of the basket.
The kitchen will also be open for refreshments.

The church, in conjunction with Miller-Keystone Blood Bank, is having a blood drive 3-8 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Northwestern Ambulance Corps, Route 309, New Tripoli.

Pining for pie? Central Grange 1650 of Germansville is taking orders for its shoofly pie bake sale.
Contact Harold at 610-767-4400 to place your order by Oct. 26.
Pick up your pies at the Germansville fire hall 1-5 p.m. Nov. 4.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to help families less fortunate in the community, in addition to local volunteer service organizations.

Talk of the town! The Germansville Fire Company welcomes you, your friends and family to come out and enjoy lots of food and fun during the Friday night 2000 Club Ticket Raffle drawings from 7-9:30 p.m.
This 20-week drawing features $23,550 grand cash awards and a free meal of hot roast beef with filling, vegetable, and beverages to all ticket holders during the last and final drawing, Nov. 3.
