Christ's Church at Lowhill, UCC, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli is sponsoring a free movie night under the stars Sept. 22 at the pavilion, which will open 6 p.m. "The Lorax" will be shown 7:15 p.m.

There will be free hot dogs, popcorn, candy and drinks available or bring goodies.

Bring lawn chairs, a small flashlight and dress for the weather.

In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown indoors .

The Alumni Association, part of the NWL Education Foundation, is sponsoring a basket bingo Sept. 30 at the Lynnport Fire Company, Behler Street, Lynnport.

Doors open 11:30 a.m. Bingo starts 1 p.m. There will be three specials, hostess raffles and a Chinese auction.

Food will be available for purchase and there will be door prizes. Bring a canned good and receive a raffle ticket.

Tickets will be held at the door. This event benefits the Christ's Church at Lowhill Food Pantry.
