Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society invites the community to attend its quarterly meeting and picnic with pot luck supper 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Weisenberg Fire Company.

Bring a covered dish and/or dessert and lawn chairs. A tour will be conducted of the fire equipment and facilities, so come out and enjoy a fine evening with friends.

Mark your calendars to come to the old Zimmerman's Hotel, Holbens Valley and Werleys Corner roads, noon-6 p.m. Sept. 8 and 9 for the annual Schpotyaahr Fescht (Fall Festival).

Musical entertainment begins 2 p.m. with Jack Snyder and Friends on Saturday and The Majestics on Sunday.

There will be lots of family fun, children's activities, farm animals, straw maze, basket raffle, baked goods, good food, Bachman Family History Tent, and much more.

On Saturday, Bob Swaim, bicycle collector, will display and demonstrate some of the most historic bikes in his collection.

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville, will have its seventh annual Summer Fest 1-7 p.m. on Aug. 25, rain or shine.

Entertainment begins 3 p.m. and features The Majestics, Lester Miller's Hoe Downers and The Miller Brothers.

There will be games for adults and children, food, a bake sale, a basket raffle and a flea market as well as other fun activities.
