Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society will be having its Spoatyahr Fesht noon-6 p.m. Sept. 8 and 9 at the old Zimmerman's Hotel, 4590 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli.

This year, the theme is "Ten Years of History" as they celebrate the historical society celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Musical entertainment will be provided by "Jack Snyder and Friends" on Saturday, and by "The Majestics" on Sunday.

Each band will perform three sets from: 2-2:45 p.m., 3:15-4 p.m. and 5-5:45 p.m.

Fun activities will include face and pumpkin painting, creating a scarecrow, fire company displays, crafters demonstrating their trades and more.

The historical society meeting will be held at the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department, 2500 Golden Key Road, Kutztown, at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

They will be serving a pot luck supper, so bring a covered dish or dessert to share and don't forget folding chairs.

Following the fellowship meal and meeting, there will be a tour of the fire equipment and facilities.

Historical society membership dues are being accepted for 2012.

Morgenland Sunday school is selling "Enjoy The City" coupon books.

They are available in the church narthex or by calling the church at 610-395-0067.

The church is having its final picnic of the year 3-9 p.m. Sept. 8 with music provided by Midnight Special.

Pitches for Porter Lilley will again be an activity at the picnic. The ball throw will be open 4-8 p.m.

All monies raised will be donated to Porter as he continues his battle against acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

There will be a donation jar at the site for those that do not want to compete but would like to donate.

Sunday School at Morgenland begins at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9.

The children will again sing during the church service on the third Sunday of each month beginning in October.
