East Allen Township is now accepting sign-ups for its fall soccer program for boys and girls ages 5 to 12.

Registration will be held Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at the municipal building, 5344 Nor-Bath Blvd. There is a fee and a mandatory fundraiser.

The teams will participate in the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League.

Games are played every Saturday morning from Sept. 8 to Nov. 10. Practices are held once a week.

A child ages 5 or 6 who is playing for the first time will participate in the Pee Wee program. This group does not participate in a league. Coaches will teach the children the fundamentals of the game during Saturday morning practices.

State Rep. Julie Harhart, R-183rd, will hold a senior expo Thursday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Allen Township Fire Hall, 3530 Howertown Road.

Dozens of vendors will be on hand to offer information on programs and services for seniors. Health screenings will be available as well.

Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided.

Allen Township Fire Company will again host all-you-can-eat breakfasts beginning in the fall.

Tai Chi in the Park will continue through this month.

Every Tuesday morning, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m., head to East Allen Township's Bicentennial Park to join a group practicing qigong and tai chi.

There is no cost to attend.
