PA Courts InfoShare recently released information on drug delivery resulting in deaths in Pennsylvania.
A drug delivery resulting in death (DDRD) charge, also known as an offense, is issued to a person who intentionally administers, dispenses, delivers, gives, prescribes, sells or distributes any controlled substance, and another person died as a result of using the substance.
From 2024 to 2025, DDRD charges decreased by 22% and convictions decreased by 72%.
The number of criminal cases filed from Jan. 1, 2021 through Dec. 31, 2025 with a drug delivery resulting in death offense in Lehigh County are two in 2021, one in 2022, two in 2023 and 2024 and one in 2025 for a total of eight with a total percentage of 1.17%.
