Witches Day Out comes to park

Witches and friends gathered Sept. 19 at Cementon Park in Whitehall for the annual Witches Day Out market. Although the event had been at other locations, this was the first year it was held at this park.

Artisans and crafters gathered, showing and selling some “not so mainstream or traditional” handcrafted items. Items such as potions, candles, healing herbs, amulets, incense, tarot cards and spell kits were just some of the available items.

The mother/daughter team of Amanda Gober and Kailey Stacey are proprietors of Bones ’n’ Blooms, selling exotic detailed dolls with animal heads.

“This is a family endeavor,” Gober said, noting even her son-in-law helps with the taxidermy.

Wannabe witches, warlocks and even werewolves perused the merchandise, looking for the perfect pentagram or unusual item. Guests and visitors garbed their best ethereal wear, appearing enchanted or just downright scary.

Attendees and vendors all enjoyed a fun-filled fantastical time.
