Guy C. Fried, 73, died Oct. 21, 2026, at his home. He was the husband of Nancy A. (MacHose) Fried for 46 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Herbert C. and Catherine (Deppe) Fried.

A graduate of Catasauqua High School, he enjoyed playing the trombone in the school band.

He worked in the floor covering industry for many years, beginning his career with GAF and later working for Tarkett in the mixing department.

He was raised in the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

He was also a familiar presence at Willow Brook Golf Club in Northampton, where he served as a fixture and starter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Shander with Sharon and Scott Shander with Marcy; three grandchildren, Ethan, Brittan and Calla; and two nephews, Glenn with Ann and Mark with Patricia.

He was predeceased by a brother, Franklin “Pat.”

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
