Fire department fundraiser comes to early end
Those who haven’t yet gotten to the Haunted Hayrides in the Parkway program, but wanted to, are out of luck.
Whitehall Township Bureau of Fire announced the hayrides planned for the rest of the 2026 season will not occur.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Whitehall Township haunted parkway event is canceled for the remainder of the 2026 season,” fire Chief Mark Bilder said in an Oct. 15 news release posted to social media.
The Haunted Hayrides in the Parkway program ran 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St., and was a big fundraiser for Whitehall Township Fire Department.
The popular event brought visitors to the Halloween-themed destination from all over the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
“Thank you for your continued support of the Whitehall Township Fire Department and the Whitehall Township Active Volunteer Firefighters’ Association,” Bilder also said.
No reason for the cancellation was provided in the release.
