Susan P. Reiss, 81, formerly of Northampton and Jacksonville, Fla., died Sept. 9, 2026.

She was the widow of Francis M. Reiss.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William and Grace (Guenther) Piper.

Susan and Francis Reiss married in 1964 and raised their two adopted children in Northampton.

In 2002, they moved to Jacksonville, Fla.

After Frank passed in 2022, she moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family.

She is survived by son, Michael Reisss (fiancé Charma) of Bangor, daughter, Jaime Hart (husband Ricky) of Pepperell, Mass., sisters, Judy Grim of Schnecksville and Sara “Sally” Thierer of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Ricky, Cody and Carri.

A graveside service for her and her late husband Frank was held Sept. 16 at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield.
