The Salisbury boys soccer team won two of its three games last week and improved to 4-3-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the Colonial League this season.
The Falcons started the week with a 2-0 loss to Palisades and followed that with a win over Jim Thorpe and another over Wilson.
Daziel Galindo led the team in points with three goals during the week and Brian Soita was right behind with two goals and an assist.
Against the Pirates, Salisbury just could not find a way to score and after they fell behind 1-0, started to press to get the goal back. The result was that Palisades was able to get a second goal and put the game away 2-0.
Soita put the Falcons up early against Jim Thorpe off an assist from Nick Laziridis. The Olympians rallied for a 2-1 lead before Tom Pojanowski scored on a penalty kick and Galindo struck for a goal to take a 3-2 win.
The most impressive outing of the week came on the road at Wilson.
Not only did the Falcons have to face a good team with a physical style of play, but they were also on a grass field, which can give an advantage to the home team. It didn’t seem to bother Galindo, who scored twice and Soita added his second goal of the week in the game for Salisbury. Tom Pojanowski had two saves and Soren Ruiz added one. The defense controlled Wilson’s attack for a 3-1 win.
