The Giant Company and its mobile pharmacy team will be supporting an immunization clinic at the Emmaus Public Library. 11 E. Main St., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 26. All ages are welcome and the team will be offering the 2026 — 2027 seasonal flu vaccine, the 2026-2027 season COVID-19 vaccine, pneumonia vaccine, RSV vaccine, shingles vaccine and tetanus booster. Individuals should plan to bring their insurance cards with them and use the online scheduler to schedule your appointment. While appointments are not necessary, they are encouraged.

The Emmaus Public Library will honor its local superheroes Oct. 1. First responders and their equipment will be in the parking lot of the library to celebrate Community Heroes Day 6-7:30 p.m. As this is an outdoor event, the rain date will be Oct. 15.

Emmaus borough will celebrate National Night Out noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Emmaus Community Park, Shimerville Road. All are welcome to enjoy the festivities and interact with local police and other community partners, such as the Emmaus Historical Society.

The Emmaus Rotary Club will host its annual golf outing fundraiser 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Olde Homestead Golf Club. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and organizations, as well as golf registration for individuals. All are welcome as you do not have to be an experienced golfer to attend the fundraiser. Rather, the event serves as an excellent opportunity to connect with local business leaders, professionals, community advocates and neighbors who support local Emmaus and beyond. Proceeds benefit the Emmaus Rotary Club’s service initiatives, partnerships, youth programs, and more.

For the remaining months of 2026, the Emmaus Public Library will host a documentary film series the first Wednesday of each month. “The Librarians” will be shown 6 p.m. Oct. 7, followed by a brief discussion on the critically acclaimed documentary.

Guitarist and songwriter Sean Marshall will be at the Emmaus Public Library 11 a.m. Oct. 17 leading a songwriting workshop for teens. Marshall aims to show teens aged 13 — 18 how to use music as an outlet for expressing their life experiences, thoughts and emotions. The workshop is open to musicians and non-musicians alike and those interested are asked to sign up at emmauspl.org/calendar.

The Emmaus Historical Society needed to cancel the September program; therefore, it has been rescheduled 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. The program is titled “The E.M. Maus Burrow Mysteries” and is presented by artist and author Bob Boehmer. Join the group for this unique program which will combine Emmaus history with a celebration of literature and creativity. The program is free and members and nonmembers are welcome to attend.

Halloween festivities at the Emmaus Public Library begin Oct. 26 and run through Oct. 31. Kids of all ages who visit the library in costume will be given food or nonfood treats!

The Woman’s Club of Emmaus will feature its Fall Dessert Card Party 1 p.m. Oct. 29 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., in Emmaus. Come have some fun playing board and card games to support the club’s scholarship program. There is a cost per person and those interested must contact Lynn at 484-788-2301 by Oct. 23 to make a reservation. As a reminder, please bring some of your “Attic Treasures” for the gift table.

The Emmaus Historical Society and Museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. In addition to the displays, which provide a glimpse into many facets of past community life, there is also America250 Emmaus memorabilia available for purchase as well as the ability to view the “Emmaus Triangle History 1759-2025” documentary at the museum.
