Upper Macungie Township in partnership with Lehigh County Aging and Adult Service will be hosting it’s Healthy Steps in Motion running Fridays 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 18 through Nov. 13.

There will be no class on Sept. 25. Designed for older adults of all fitness levels, it is endorsed by Silver and Fit.

Participants will learn the value of warm-up, balance and coordination exercises, cardiovascular health, strength and stretching exercises, and cool down activities.

Wildlands Conservancy will be hosting its DIY Owl Boxes 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Community Lifestyle Center. Learn about one of Wildlands Conservancy’s resident owls.

Participants will build and decorate their own owl boxes to use in their own backyards.

Their next event is Creepy Crawlies and Candy Hunt 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at Breinigsville Park.

Get ready for a wild night of frights and delights as the Wildlands Conservancy kicks things off with a thrilling live animal and insect show — meet some real-life creepy crawlies up close (if you dare!).

Then, grab your flashlights and head into their glow-in-the-dark field for a candy hunt like no other.

The township in partnership with Lehigh Valley Martial Arts Trexlertown will be offering a free Intro to Karate Workshop for kids ages 5 and older noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown.

No prior experience necessary.

Reconnect with the season through gentle movement, breathwork, restorative yoga, and a soothing sound bath at the township’s Sound Bath Experience 6-7 p.m. Sept. 24.

This one-day yoga and restorative program is for teens and adults.

This calming experience is designed to release tension, promote relaxation, and restore the mind and body.

All levels welcome! Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and pillow for comfort.

Lil Athletics Multi-Sport classes for kids aged 2-6 years old will take place Sept. 24 through Oct. 15 at the Community Center.

Classes are scheduled from 5 to 5:45 p.m. for ages 2-3; 5:55 to 6:40 p.m. for ages 3-4; and 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 4-5.

Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable athletic attire.

Parents must remain at all classes.

Kids will be introduced to multiple sports in a fun, noncompetitive, instructional program.

The township’s free Storytime Sing-Along for toddlers ages 0-5 with a caregiver will meet the last Wednesday of each month (with some exceptions) from 11:15 a.m. to noon beginning Sept. 30.

The program is free to participate and will be presented by the Parkland Community Library.

The township’s Parents Night Out event will take place on Oct. 2. Enjoy a night off while the kids have a night of fun!

Drop your kids off at the Community Center from 5 to 8 p.m. for games on the turf or basketball court, followed by pizza and a movie.

Activities will be led by the Elementary EnerGym instructors, Kyle Creyer, a fourth-grade teacher at Veterans Elementary School, and Dr. Dietz, a second-grade teacher at East Penn School District.

Teens join the township each month for their Teen Anime Club, a fun and welcoming space to watch anime, discuss favorite shows and characters, play games, and connect with fellow anime fans!

The club meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m.

The Grub and Groove Food Truck Festival will take place every Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. through Sept. 24 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

Food trucks will meet by Pavilion No. 1 at Grange Park.

Concerts in the Park series running through October at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road, takes place 7:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month unless otherwise noted.

Each concert will showcase at least two live performances featuring a variety of musical styles and local talent.

Admission is free.

Food and drink vendors will be on site to keep you refreshed and satisfied.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will be hosting its next community free dinner at the church from 5 p.m. while supplies last on Sept. 18.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, (Leather Corner Post), will hold its annual fall picnic 4-8 p.m. Sept. 26.

There will be live music by “Midnight Special” from 5 to 8 p.m.

They will also have great food, baked goods, basket raffle and a cake walk. The rain date is 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 27.

The church will be accepting orders until Oct. 4 for their hoagie sale.

Zions Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, will be holding its Apple Dumpling Festival 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 10.

The church has filled its craft spaces already and secured The Perk-up Truck, and Top of the Hill Grill.

They are seeking gift baskets/items for the basket raffle, and donations of desserts to sell at the dessert table.

There are order forms for dumplings available in the Gathering Area if you would like to ask friends, neighbors, and coworkers to order.
