Liberty and Bethlehem Catholic both enjoyed perfect weeks on the volleyball court, while Freedom bounced back from a pair of losses to finish the week with a victory.

Liberty (4-1) went undefeated last week, sweeping Whitehall, Pleasant Valley and Easton. The Hurricanes look to continue their strong start this week when they host Nazareth on Monday, travel to Pocono Mountain West on Wednesday and welcome Emmaus on Friday. They’ll have an opportunity to gain some separation from the pack if they can come away undefeated this week, as only Parkland (5-0) and Freedom (4-2) sit ahead of them in the District 11 6A power rankings.

Bethlehem Catholic is atop the District 11 4A power rankings and remain undefeated at 5-0 after last week’s victories. The Hawks swept Allen and Pocono Mountain West before edging Nazareth, 3-2, on Friday. The Hawks get a battle right off the start this week at home against Freedom, before traveling to East Stroudsburg South on Wednesday. They finish the week on at home Friday against Whitehall.

Freedom hit some bumps in the road last week, as they were swept by Parkland and then lost in five games to Pocono Mountain East. The Patriots finished the week with a 3-1 victory over Northampton on Saturday.

After their bout with the Golden Hawks on Monday, Freedom hits the road to East Stroudsburg North on Wednesday before another tough showdown against Central Catholic on Friday at home.
