Liberty enters a busy week of field hockey with momentum after splitting its first four games and picking up a pair of impressive victories.

The Hurricanes opened the season with losses to Bangor and Stroudsburg before breaking through with a 10-1 win over Pocono Mountain West. Liberty followed that with a 4-0 victory over Freedom on Saturday to improve its record to 2-2.

The Hurricanes now face a stretch with three games on the schedule this week. Liberty travels to Bethlehem Catholic on Tuesday before visiting Emmaus on Thursday and hosting Nazareth on Saturday.

Freedom, meanwhile, will look to regroup after an 0-5 start to the season. The Patriots have faced a difficult early schedule, falling to Bangor, Nazareth, Northampton, Saucon Valley and Liberty.

Freedom will have two opportunities this week to earn its first victory, hosting Easton on Tuesday and Whitehall on Thursday.

Bethlehem Catholic is also searching for its first win after an 0-4 start. The Golden Hawks have faced Pen Argyl, Pocono Mountain East, Pleasant Valley and Palisades during their opening stretch.

Becahi will host Liberty on Tuesday before traveling to Nazareth on Thursday.
