Falcon football shuts out So. Philly in season opener

The Salisbury High School football team beat South Philadelphia 27-0 last Saturday in a nonleague game at the South Philly Sports Complex.

Salisbury scored touchdowns in each of the first two quarters for a 14-0 lead then added another in the third and one more in the fourth to seal the shutout win.

No other information about the game was received by the Press.

The Falcons have their home opener Friday night. They will take on another Philadelphia area team when they host Roxborough.

Both teams come into the contest with 1-0 records as the Wolves beat Dobbins Vo-Tech last week, 12-6 in a nonleague game.

After Roxborough, the Falcons will take on two of the strongest teams in the Colonial League the as they face Notre Dame (Green Pond) and Northwestern Lehigh on back-to-back weeks before they face Northern Lehigh to finish out their September slate and mark the halfway point in the 2026 season.
