Robert W. Brooks Jr., 84, of Germansville, died Aug. 14, 2026, at St. Lukes Hospital- Carbon Campus.

He was the husband of the late Diane H. (Geist) Brooks.

Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, June 18, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert W. Brooks, Sr. and Erma (McElmoyle) Brooks.

He owned and operated the former Slatedale Market with his wife, Diane, for about 10 years before retiring.

Before that, he was an accountant for Macks Financial for many years.

In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His survivors include children Robert W. Brooks III and his wife, Kim of Slatington, Randall S. Brooks of Newark Valley, N.Y., Sherry L. Brooks of Newark Valley, N.Y., Jeffery A. Brooks and his fiancé, Anna, of Fairplay, Md.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sister Edna Paton.

A funeral service was held Aug. 19 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville.

Interment followed the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
