Union Lutheran has begun collecting books

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, is collecting books for the annual BookFest, which will take place in the Family Life Center 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 12 and 13.

Donations of books may be dropped off at the church office during office hours, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, starting Sept. 6.

Books may also be delivered 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 10,

The BookFest is open to the community.

The public is invited to enjoy music under the portico at Union Lutheran 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 29.

Performances will be by Hearts for Music and the ULC Praise Band.

Hot dogs and ice cream will be available.

A freewill offering may be given to support the instrumental music program of Trexler Middle School in the Allentown School District.

Confirmation class registration

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, is taking registrations for the 2026-27 confirmation class.

St. John’s dedicates new digital sign

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, has dedicated its new digital sign, which provides a means of communication for neighbors and all drivers passing by.

Look for coming events such as Harvest Home on Sept. 20 and the Craft Fair and Quilt Sale on Oct. 10 to be listed on the sign.
