A community yard sale, hosted by Catasauqua Area School District, will be held 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 29 in the CASD Administration Office, 201 N. 14th St., Catasauqua. All of the proceeds raised will be donated to Catasauqua Community Cares Program, so stop by and shop to support our local students and families!

All CASD families are invited to attend the free Live Well Be Well Roughie Style wellness event, sponsored by the Communities That Care committee at Sheckler Elementary School, noon-3 p.m. Aug. 29. It’s going to be a great afternoon focused on community health and having a good time together as the school year gets into full swing.

Activities include live music, a pig roast, interactive wellness events and local community partners sharing helpful resources.

Mark your calendar, and come on out to grab some food and enjoy the music!

CHS’ picture day is scheduled for Sept. 3.

Both CASD and Lehigh Career & Technical Institute will be closed Sept. 4-7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Schools will open and classes will resume Sept. 8.

From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 8, there will be a CASD Board of Education meeting in the district administration office.

There will be a sophomore class ring assembly 8-8:30 a.m. Sept. 17.

CASD will have an early dismissal Sept. 23. CHS students will be dismissed 12:50 p.m.

Also on Sept. 23, CHS will hold a senior college night 6-8 p.m. in the auditorium.
