Join instructor Michelle Heisler 9:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at the Municipal Park band shell at Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane, for Fitness for a Cause, an energetic morning that combines movement with community support. Move with Aerobistix, a total body workout, including aerobics, drumsticks, strengthening and stretching.

All levels are welcome, and modifications will be shown. Bring water.

The rain date will be Sept. 5.

A basket social is set for noon-7 p.m. Sept. 12 and then 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 13 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s parish hall, 22nd Street and Washington Avenue. The drawing will be held 1:30 p.m. Sept. 13. You do not need to be present to win.

Tickets include admission and stubs for baskets, and chances will be available for special prizes. You’ll find baskets galore and great food available for purchase as well.

Breakfast is back! Northampton Fire Department will resume its regular seasonal schedule, and breakfast will be 8-11 a.m. Sept. 13 at 4 Lerchenmiller Drive.

On the menu are both regular and blueberry pancakes, scrambled and ham and cheese eggs, sausage patties, bacon, creamed chipped beef, Tater Tots, toast and cereal. Beverages being offered include orange juice, apple juice, milk and chocolate milk, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Meal cost varies with age.
