LCTI carpentry students use their skills to build foot bridge, fire prevention sign

With all of the challenges taking place around the world, it’s a breath of fresh air to share some positive news right here in our backyard.

I believe in supporting our local students who attend career and technical education schools.

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute supports the Northwestern Lehigh region.

Their carpentry students recently fabricated and installed a Smokey Bear fire prevention sign for Lynn Township.

This was a great accomplishment that provided the students with a unique opportunity to support our local communities.

Last November they also designed, built and installed a new foot bridge at Ontelaunee Park.

The bridge project honed the students’ carpentry expertise and gave them a positive memory they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
