Northampton: Farm Fest event scheduled for Aug. 22

The Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo Farm Fest will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 22 at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, 21 W. 21st St. Admission is free and attendees will be able to enjoy live music while browsing the many crafts/vendors.

There will also be a basket raffle with more than 60 baskets and a 50/50 drawing. There will be games for children with prizes.

One of the many attractions will be the cow chip raffle. Cows will be released 1-3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded.

Ticket sales for the cow chip will end noon, or tickets may be purchased in advance by calling DeeAna Bedics at 610-440-2119.

Food will be available for purchase.

This event will also include the classic car and cycle event that was originally scheduled for July 18 but was postponed due to inclement weather. Registration for this event is 10 a.m.

A pancake breakfast will be served for participants. Trophies will be awarded in both categories.

Proceeds from both events go to the Prager Patient Assistance Fund in the Lehigh Valley Health Network, which helps cancer patients currently in treatment with financial assistance for nonclinical everyday expenses.

The inaugural From I Do To You wedding resale fair takes place 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 23 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave.

Attendees will have the opportunity to shop from several resellers offering beautiful, gently used wedding decor, accessories and other wedding-related items, giving couples the chance to find something special for their big day while saving money.

One of the highlights of the event will be the wedding dress rack sale, featuring wedding dresses available for shoppers to browse and purchase. The rack sale gives brides-to-be an opportunity to find a beautiful pre-owned wedding dress at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

A small variety of relevant wedding vendors will also be on hand, offering products and services for couples planning their weddings. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event.

There is an admission fee.

Join instructor Michelle Heisler 9:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at the Municipal Park band shell at Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane, for Fitness for a Cause, an energetic morning that combines movement with community support. Move with Aerobistix, a total body workout, including aerobics, drumsticks, strengthening and stretching.

All levels are welcome, modifications will be shown. Bring water.

The rain date will be Sept 5.

The Women of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ group is organizing a harvest bingo, set for Oct. 4 at the church, 19th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Doors open noon, and bingo starts 1:30 p.m.

There will be a lot of cash prizes, basket raffles and delicious food. There is a cost, which includes 25 games — 20 regulars and five specials.

Space is limited to 90 tickets, so order yours today.
