Janet E. (Meckes) Brennan, 90, of Breinigsville, died Aug. 6, 2026. She was the wife of the late John “Bernie” Brennan. Born in Weissport, Janet was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Grace R. (Fisher) Meckes.

She worked for many years as a cook for the Parkland School District, retiring as the head cook of Springhouse Middle School.

She loved to sit and do crossword puzzles while watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Janet is survived by her son, Kelly Edwards, husband of Diane, of Howell, N.J.; daughters, Cindy Klingborg and her husband, Keith, of DuBoistown, Jill Edwards, of Breinigsville, Jodi Edwards, companion of Nelson Hill, of Allentown; a brother, Leon Meckes, of Salisbury Township; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Roger and Richard Meckes; grandson, Zachary.
