Third annual “Scrapple-Eating Contest” at The Great Allentown Fair

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who love scrapple and those who don’t.

If you’re a scrapple enthusiast, The Great Allentown Fair has the perfect event for you.

The third annual “Scrapple-Eating Contest” is at 3 p.m. Sept. 5, Farmerama Theater, sponsored by Lehigh Valley Public Media.

The uniquely Pennsylvania Dutch competition, sponsored by Stoltzfus Meats, will challenge contestants to consume as much scrapple as possible in two minutes.

Scrapple has long been a breakfast staple throughout Pennsylvania- Dutch country, and this crowd-favorite contest has quickly become one of the Fair’s most entertaining traditions.

Whether you’re competing for the title or cheering from the audience, don’t miss the fun-filled celebration of one of the region’s most iconic foods.

The Third Annual Scrapple Eating Contest is one of the many attractions awaiting guests at the 2026 Great Allentown Fair, running Sept. 2-7.

Think you have what it takes to be crowned the 2026 Scrapple Eating Champion?

Competitors should come prepared with hearty appetites and strong stomachs. Any contestant who “upchucks” during the competition will be immediately disqualified.

Registration is required, as space is limited. Entry forms, contest rules, and information on cash prizes are available on The Great Allentown Fair’s website:
