The Salisbury Township board of commissioners approved several motions at its most recent meeting, July 23.

Salisbury Township Commissioner President Pro-Tempore Heather Lipkin chaired the meeting.

Township commissioners voted 3-0 with two commissioners absent, to approve:

— Change Order of the CDBG 2026 Cured-In-Place Pipelining Project Awarded to Mobile Dredging and Video Pipe, Inc.

“As we looked at the project, it was a little bit over budget,” Alan R. Fornwalt, P.E., Keystone Consulting Engineers, township engineers, said before the vote.

Approximately 286 feet of the project was removed, Fornwalt said.

Township Commissioner Alok Patnaik made the motion, seconded by township Commissioner Allison Leayman, to bring the motion to a vote.

— Accept Completion of the 2024 Sewer System Rehabilitation Project and release Wexcon, Inc.’s Maintenance Bond.

“Everything was good,” Salisbury Township Director of Public Works Jim Levernier said before the vote.

Leayman made the motion, seconded by Patnaik, to bring the motion to a vote.

— Impose Disciplinary Action in Accordance to Section 14.1 of the Salisbury Civil Service Rules and Regulations, the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Departmental Procedures.

“As per the rules, I can’t comment,” Salisbury Township Police Chief Don Sabo said before the vote.

It was stated that a five-day suspension was to have been made.

Patnaik made the motion, seconded by Leayman, to bring the motion to a vote.

The Salisbury Township meetings in the municipal building, 2900 S. Pike Ave., include: 7 p.m. Aug. 12, zoning hearing board; 7 p.m. Aug. 13, board of commissioners; 7 p.m. Aug. 19, environmental advisory council; 7 p.m. Aug. 26, planning commission and 7 p.m. Aug. 27, board of commissioners.
