Scholarship awards announced

The Emmaus Garden Club awards two $2,000 scholarships annually to eligible seniors at Emmaus High School who plan to major in horticulture, farming, landscape, floral design or other related fields.

The club recently announced the recipients for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Alexander Ervin will attend Lehigh University, Bethlehem and plans to major in environmental engineering.

He “has always expressed an interest in saving the planet and wants to pursue environmental sustainability,” according to a recent press release. He loves sports and plays both bass and guitar.

Emma Schmaldinst will attend Pennsylvania College of Technology to major in forest technology.

She enjoys hands-on activities and aspires to be an arborist.

She attends AACC Dance Connection and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and anything outdoors.
