A 15-year-old juvenile entered an admission to charges related to a large fire leading to damage of several properties and vehicles in Allentown June 24, according to a press release dated July 22.

The teen admitted to charges of arson and causing a catastrophe, according to the press release from the office of the Lehigh County District Attorney.

A second teen also is connected to the case.

The teen charged “will be held in a juvenile facility that offers treatment for fire setters,” according to the press release.

Restitution is not yet determined, according to authorities.

The six-alarm fire at a former furniture factory in the 300 block of North Front Street, Allentown, also damaged at least eight nearby homes.

A firefighter also reportedly was hurt in the incident.

The fire incident reportedly knocked out power to more than 2,000 customers and prompted road closures in the area.
