Allen/East Allen townships: Thursday craft gatherings planned

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, welcomes everyone to join its craft gatherings, held 10 a.m.-noon the first and third Thursdays in the meeting room of the Monocacy School on the GWHS campus. Bring your project, supplies, a drink and snack.

A $5 donation is requested to defray facility costs.

No registration is required.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will hold a community yard sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 5.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association will not be hosting breakfast during the months of July and August. The breakfasts will resume Sept. 20.

The Allen Township dog park is open. Do not bring aggressive dogs to the park, and always clean up after your dog.

Following these rules will make the dog park enjoyable for everyone.

Horner’s Cemetery, located at 4965 Nor-Bath Blvd., East Allen Township, is the oldest cemetery in Northampton County. The Scotch Irish of Northampton County arrived in East Allen Township in 1728 and established Craig’s Settlement. Many historic people from Northampton County are buried there.
