I guess you’re getting old when your excitement over a holiday weekend is installing a closet organizing system! We have been slowly redoing the closets in our house to maximize storage space. The closet in Lydia’s room has been on the to-do list for over two years. Ben worked over the Fourth of July weekend and the hot, muggy forecast didn’t invite us outdoors. We’ve had an influx of boxes from my mother’s house so now seemed like a good time to get it done. We shared our masterpiece with Lydia whose understated response was, “Hopefully it builds momentum for other home projects.”
The next township column will be published Aug. 19; copy deadline is Aug. 13.
