Shirley L. (Spangler) Werner, 93, of Whitehall, died July 1, 2026. She was the wife of the late Francis V. Werner for 68 years.

Born in York, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Spangler.

Later in life, she worked as an assistant librarian at Coplay Public Library and at the Lehigh County courthouse in the recorder of deeds office before becoming a receptionist at Walnutport Family Eye Care.

She is survived by five children, Jeanie Shott, Sheila with William Dayton, Susan with Donald Sweeney, F. Joseph with Annette and Lisa with Alan Jones; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Richard Shott.

There will be a visitation 5-7 p.m. July 27 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. July 28 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay.
