Reinhard steps down as T&F head coach

Emmaus High School track and field head coach Kami Reinhard recently announced her decision to step down as the team’s head coach.

She will remain the Hornets’ cross country head coach as she enters her 34th season as an EHS coach.

“I can’t say enough positive words about Coach Reinhard and what she has accomplished and meant to the athletic program here at Emmaus,” said EHS Athletic Director Rebecca George in a news release. “All that she and her staffs have contributed to the East Penn community is substantial.

“I am happy to know that Coach Reinhard is going to continue in her role at head boys and girls cross country coach. I find comfort in knowing she will be around to continue sharing her knowledge and expertise to the athletic department.”

Reinhard’s teams were consistently at the top of the East Penn Conference standings. Her 2025 girls team earned a league title and she coached several state medalist boys and girls during her time at the helm.

Under Reinhard’s leadership, the track and field programs have been developed at both Eyer Middle School and Lower Macungie Middle School. She has provided guidance to countless student-athletes perusing their athletic careers at the next level.

She also spent many hours with the athletes who participated in the winter track and field program.

“To our student athletes, I cannot begin to express how thankful I am to have learned so much from each of you,” said Reinhard in the release. “It has been such a rewarding and enriching experience watching you all learn and grow to cultivate excellence, among the endless laughs and memories made along the way.

“I find so much joy in following our student athletes who take the life lessons learned from track and field, or any sport, to become the best human beings they can possibly be in this world.”

The search for a new EHS track and field head coach is underway. Interested applicants should look for the posting on the East Penn School District Web Site and or reach out to George.
