Chargers fall to East Stroudsburg, North Bethlehem

The Northern Valley Senior Connie Mack baseball team dropped a pair of games last week to fall to 2-9 this season in the Lehigh Valley League.

After winning back-to-back games early in June, the Chargers fell to East Stroudsburg and FBTAA/North Bethlehem last week.

In a 15-3 loss to East Stroudsburg on Monday, June 15, the Cavaliers limited NV to just four hits.

Connor Hausman had two of the hits. He also scored once and drove in a run. Cam Petrucelli and Calvin Kulp had the other hits for the Chargers.

In a 16-2 loss to Freemansburg/North Bethlehem last Wednesday, June 17, the Chargers got just two hits in the game as Jacob Spatz and Evan Miller each had one hit.

Northern Valley entered this week tied for 17th place in the 20-team Lehigh Valley Senior Connie Mack standings and six games left on the regular season schedule.

Southern Lehigh (12-0) sits atop the standings, with Forks Township (8-2), East Stroudsburg (9-3), Northampton (8-2) and North Parkland (9-3) rounding out the top five.
