Lowhill Twp artists celebrate America250 with colorful display

Do you agree the currently displayed artistry and creativity of our Route 100, Lowhill Township Roadside Artists, Phil Rossetto and Greg Snider, has garnered the Blue Ribbon in their celebration of America250?

In conversation, Phil gave his motivation for this patriotic display.

“Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. In the case of the Fourth of July display it came from a rush hour crawl on the dreaded Route 22. While enduring the torturous ordeal, I happened to be behind a Chevy Nova with the new 250th license plate. Gazing in a day dream like state, I figured out that the motto for this commemoration read ‘Let Freedom Ring.’”

To Phil, the message packed a wallop.

“Hmm, why not use it. Jazz it up with color, flags, and bunting, and voilà, a brand-new Fourth of July roadside display.”

Perhaps our Commonwealth license plate designers would have improved the popularity of this commemorative issue if they had looked to Phil and Greg for inspiration.

While simplistic in execution, the colors and symbols Phil and Greg used pack a punch of pride, and serves as a display that Freedom does indeed ring if we have the courage and determination to hear it.

Phil went on to give his personal thanks for our Nation’s freedom in “God bless our 250 years of greatness and resiliency.”

Phil has promised that unless there is extreme weather threatening our area, this display will remain as an inspiration for most of the month of July…be sure to catch it in the evening as well as it is equally impressive as fireworks!

Yes, Let Freedom Ring in our Nation forever!
