Karen F. Frye, 83, a resident of Ann’s Choice Senior Living, Warminster, died June 28, 2026. She was the wife of William G. Frye Jr.

Born in Easton, she was the daughter of Theodore and Eva (Bartholomew) Frace.

She was a graduate of Wilson High School, East Stroudsburg State College and the French School of Middlebury, Vt.

She taught French in the Easton School District during the 1960s. She retired as a certified pharmacy technician at Bath Drug where she worked for 18 years.

She was a member of Arndt’s Lutheran Church. She was formerly a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Moorestown, where she was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She was a member of Bethlehem’s St. Luke’s Singers for 17 years. At Ann’s Choice, she played violin in the Second Time Around Band and sang with the ACT III chorus.

She bred salt and pepper giant schnauzers and wrote a column for the breed newsletter, called “Dear Andra,” which was recognized by the Dog Writers Association of America in 1985.

Before COVID-19, she enjoyed being a deejay, calling herself Calamity Karen at WDVR-FM in Sergeantsville, N.J., for seven years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lara Palmer of Nashville, Tenn., and Liza Palmer of Macungie; a grandson, Joe Welborn of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Elaine O’Brien of Easton; and seven nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Roland Frace.
