Fourth of July festivities, summer events fill Salisbury calendar

Salisbury Youth Association fall sports registration is open. Visit syasports.net for information. Many programs close registration in early July and begin practices soon after.

Eastern Salisbury Fire Department will host a community yard sale 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 11. Setup begins at 7 a.m. There is a cost for vendor spaces with a rebate if all items are removed at the end of the sale. To register, call or text Sarah at 484-239-3426. Space is limited.

Salisbury Township School District Administration Building is closed for renovations. Staff remain available by phone, email or virtual meeting. In-person meetings are by appointment at alternate locations. Call 610-797-2062 for assistance.

Looking ahead, Salisbury Township Police Department will host National Night Out 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4. Donations are being accepted for basket raffles, including themed baskets, gift certificates or individual items. To contribute, contact Stephania Alvarado at salvarado@salisburylehighpa.gov.

Township recycling centers are open for yard waste and branches. Franko Farm will be open July 2 (closed July 4), and Devonshire will be open July 6, 9 and 11. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m.to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
