Northampton: Celebration set for July 3
Join in as the borough of Northampton celebrates the 250th anniversary of our nation 5-9 p.m. July 3. Municipal Park, Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane, will be full of music, food and plenty of fun for the whole family, including games, crafts, inflatables and more. Don’t miss a chance to cool down with Northampton Fire Department’s water fun!

The fire department will once again host the annual summer fire cadet camp July 6-10, with a graduation ceremony July 11 at the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive. Youth ages 11-15 can learn not only hands-on skills but things like team building, mentorship and discipline.
Applications are now being accepted for non-borough residents. They can be picked up at the borough office or at the fire station. Get your application in soon, as class size is limited to 20 cadets.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet July 8 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors will open 11 a.m.
All members and visitors are cordially invited to attend.

Pink Pumpkins Coins for Chemo will be holding its sixth annual Cycles and Classics event 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 18 at Triboro Sportsmen Club, 2110 Canal St. The bike run and car show includes vendors and crafts, a 50/50 raffle, a basket social and door prizes, as well as food and live music.
Admission is free, but there is a cost to register. Registration begins 10 a.m., and kickstands go up at 11 a.m.
All proceeds go to the Prager Patient Assistance Fund in the Lehigh Valley Health Network, which helps cancer patients currently in treatment with financial assistance for non-clinical everyday expenses.
The rain date will be Aug. 22.
