Happy Independence Day! This year is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Celebrate with your family, friends and neighbors the many freedoms we have in the United States, cherish our democratic republic and work to preserve our Constitution and the rule of law.

If you choose to include fireworks in your Independence Day celebration, exercise caution. Do not let kids light fireworks. Overuse of adult beverages or other mind-altering substances combined with lighting fireworks is a dangerous mix.

Enjoy the holiday and be safe.
