Students earn dean’s list

A total of 1,867 students have been named to the dean’s list at East Stroudsburg University for the spring semester of the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by Margaret Ball D.M.A., the university’s provost and vice president for academic affairs.

East Stroudsburg University, a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, opened in 1893 as East Stroudsburg Normal School. Today, ESU is a comprehensive university in northeastern Pennsylvania offering 49 undergraduate programs, 20 master’s programs and two doctoral programs.

Frostburg State University

Saul named to dean’s list

Brooke Saul, of Northampton, has been named to the dean’s list at Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Md., for outstanding academic achievement for the spring 2026 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Situated in the mountains of Allegany County, Frostburg State University is one of the 12 institutions of the University System of Maryland. FSU is a comprehensive, residential regional university and serves as an educational and cultural center for Western Maryland.

Alvernia University

Students graduate

Alvernia University celebrated the Class of 2026 by conferring a record number of 800 degrees at Santander Arena in downtown Reading May 9, the culmination of a weekend of events.

Bath: Abigail Faulkner, Bachelor of Arts in PK-4 education; Kristin Kemmerer, Associate of Science in applied health

Danielsville: Brittney Benson, Master of Education in special education

Whitehall: Joyce Lu, Master of Science in athletic training and Bachelor of Science in healthcare science
