Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will host its annual summer picnic 4-8 p.m. June 27.

There will be live music 5-8 p.m. by “Waitin’ on Sundown,” a basket raffle, a 50/50 drawing, cake walk and bake sale.

Rain date is 2 to 6 p.m. June 28 with the band “Waitin’ on Sundown” playing from 3-6 p.m.

The church is accepting orders until July 5 for their hoagie sale.

Options available are regular Italian with everything or no peppers, no onions with peppers, no onions or peppers, ham and cheese; no onions or peppers, turkey; no onions or peppers, roast beef; no onions or peppers, tuna and veggie.

Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department is accepting orders until 5 p.m. June 30 for their hoagie sale and ice cream sandwiches from The Nesting Box Creamery.

Choose between Italian, with onions and peppers, or onion and no peppers or peppers and no onions or no onions or peppers; ham and American cheese; turkey; roast beef or tuna salad.

Flavors this month are mint Oreo, black raspberry Oreo, coffee with chocolate wafer, and chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream.

Hoagie and ice cream sandwich pickup will take place 2-6 p.m. July 9 at the fire station, 2500 Golden Key Road, Kutztown.

Ziegels Church Tractor and Car show, a free community event, will take place noon to 6 p.m. July 11.

Entertainment will be by The Hannah Violet Trio and The Majestics.

There will be food, games, raffles, bake sale, tractor pulls and fun for all ages.

The church will be offering an eight-session beginner machine quilting class 5:30-7:30 p.m. starting July 7.

This class will teach you everything you need to know about making a small quilt and also machine quilting. Must be comfortable with your machine.

Weisenberg-Lowhill Township Historical Society will be hosting its Framed Again program 6:30 p.m. July 14 at the Weisenberg Township Building, 2175 Seipstown Road, Fogelsville.

Join the historical society for an engaging session with local artist Gene Allen and Jeanne Stock.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will hold its Armor of God Vacation Bible School 6-8 p.m. July 20-24.

All ages are welcome.

Each day kids will discover what it means to “put on the full armor of God” and stand strong in faith through engaging Bible lessons, energetic music, hands-on activities, fun games and tasty snacks.
