“Emmaus Triangle History 1759 — 2025” premiers June 27 at the Emmaus Theatre

“Bad Guys 2” will be featured 1-3 p.m. June 25 as a part of the Emmaus Public Library’s Thursday Movie Matinees. Please visit the library website at www.emmauspl.org/calendar for a full and complete list of the movies. The series continues until July 30.

The Emmaus Rotary Club will not have their regularly meeting June 25, but rather will meet 5:30-8 p.m. for the president changeover dinner at Delizioso Italian Grill, 1985 N. Brookside Road, Macungie. Come celebrate with Nelly Kabiru on the completion of her year as president, as well as all the accomplishments of the year.

The Emmaus Public Library will host two sewing sessions June 26. The event is for individuals fourth grade through adult and participants will make a zipper pouch in a choice of two different sizes. Registration is required for both the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. sessions.

The music group Twelve String will be featured later that evening in “Tunes on the Triangle” 6:30 p.m. at Triangle Park.

Architectural historian Kris Thompson will be at the Emmaus Public Library 11 a.m. June 27 to explain what the Emmaus borough’s built environment says about its place in the Lehigh Valley. On June 28, the Kutztown Pipe Band will take the stage 6-8 p.m. for the next summer concert series performance at the Emmaus Community Park, Shimerville Road.

The Emmaus Historical Society in conjunction with The Media People, Inc. will present “Emmaus Triangle History 1759 — 2025” June 27 at the Emmaus Theatre, 19 S. Fourth St. The premiere of this documentary and photo slideshow will be something for all generations to enjoy. The documentary explores the rich history, people and stories of this unique and treasured part of the Emmaus community. Through historical photographs, personal recollections and local insights, the documentary highlights the Triangle’s significance and its lasting impact on Emmaus. Whether you have a personal connection or simply enjoy learning about local history, the Emmaus Historical Society hopes you will join them for this special event. On the day of the event, tickets will be available at the theater. Doors open 11:30 a.m. with screenings noon and 1:15 p.m.

The Emmaus Garden Club will host a tour of eight unique gardens 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27. This event will be held rain or shine and there is a cost for tickets. Visit https://emmausgardenclub.com for a list of locations from where to purchase the tickets.

The Emmaus borough offices will be closed July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. On July 4, the Emmaus Public Library will be closed in honor of Independence Day.

On July 6, the Emmaus Public Library’s monthly Pinterest Party will feature patriotic paper wreath making in celebration of America250. The event will run 6-7 p.m. and all supplies will be provided.

Take Two will be featured in Tunes on the Triangle 6:30 p.m. July 10. On July 12, Shaun Lally will take the stage 6-8 p.m. as part of summer concert series at the Emmaus Community Park. The following week, July 19, The Large Flowerheads will play groovy tunes 6-8 p.m. with tribute music to the 1960s and early 1970s.

On the evening of July 13, pianist Patrick Kerssen will be at the Emmaus Public Library for an evening of music and history. The event will begin 6 p.m. and feature a live musical performance and accompanying slideshow to look at some of pivotal music of the last 150 years.

Paleontologist Jon Bachman will be at the Emmaus Public Library 6-7 p.m. July 21 to speak on his discoveries about non-avian dinosaurs in Maryland. Registration for this event is required and the target audience includes sixth graders up through adults.

As part of the Emmaus Borough community-wide festivities the weekend of July 24 — 26, the Emmaus Historical Society and members of the Emmaus Heritage Alliance will be at the Emmaus Heritage Festival 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 25. This event will take place on the grounds of the historical society and will feature live demonstrations, music, Artisan Village crafters, Makers Row historic demonstrators, food trucks, special displays and interactive games. Additionally, a shuttle will be provided to tour the 1803 House, Knauss Homestead, God’s Acre, and the Shelter House historic sites in the borough.

As usual, the Emmaus Historical Society and Museum, 218 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
