LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Northwestern ES students celebrate spring with Annual Fun Day

Laughter and joy filled the Recreation Fields as Northwestern Elementary School students in kindergarten through second grade took part in the school’s annual Fun Day event May 5. The beautiful spring weather added to the excitement, creating a perfect setting for one of the school year’s favorite traditions. Physical education teacher Isaiah Danner coordinated the day’s activities with the help of over 30 volunteers stationed throughout game areas. Volunteers assisted with directions, encouraged participants and kept stations running smoothly as smiley students happily rotated from one activity to the next. By the end of the event, tired legs, pink cheeks and happy faces told the story of a successful Fun Day – a day outside with friends, lots of movement, giggles, and memories that students will surely carry with them after the school year is over.
