Allen/East Allen townships: VBS set for June 22-26 at Good Shepherd Lutheran
Are you looking for a small group experience for your child? Come and join members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, for Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 22-26. VBS is for all children ages 5 and older.
The children will learn about God’s kindness and forgiveness through stories, crafts, play and snacks. Friday evening will be a family night starting with a meal supplied by the VBS committee, playing games and having fun.
There is no charge for this program.
To register, call the church office at 610-262-9517 any time between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or just join June 22.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, and Horner’s Cemetery, 4965 Nor Bath Blvd., are taking part in the Lehigh Valley Passport to History, a partnership of more than 50 historic sites and resources in and around Lehigh and Northampton counties. Passport to History day will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 27.
The free event will include crafts and activities for everyone, demonstrations, photo opportunities, tours of the garden with information on herbs and more.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, is organizing a trip to Mohegan Sun Casino for a combo gambling and racing harness excursion July 19. The group will leave 1 p.m. and will return between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. The track start is 5 p.m.
There is a cost.

The 11th annual Northampton Area School District Student Council car show will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 25 at Bicentennial Park West in East Allen Township. The rain date is July 26.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game will not host breakfasts during the months of June, July and August. Breakfast will resume Sept. 20.

Governor Wolf Historical Society hosts craft gatherings in the meeting room of the Monocacy School on the historical society campus 10 a.m.-noon the first and third Thursdays of each month. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Bring your project, supplies, a drink and perhaps a snack and prepare for good conversation and a productive two hours.
No registration is needed. A $5 donation is requested to defray facility costs.
