I pushed too hard in the final week of the school year. I paid for it with the worst symptoms of primary biliary cholangitis, itchy skin and fatigue.
My youngest has had a cough for over a month. We returned to Urgent Care. I take him there when he does not feel well, because getting him ready to go can take a lot of time, and I don’t need to worry about a set appointment time.
He was prescribed chewable Claratin, as he won’t swallow pills. It turned out to be over-the-counter medicine. Hooray for CVS Extra Bucks. I got it for free. And it seems to be helping, thank goodness. I am wondering now if he has allergies, since neither his older brother or myself caught the cough. It would not be surprising, as I have allergies.
I’m hoping by next week we can start enjoying the school break.
I am still waiting on confirmation of what school he will attend for eighth grade. I am trying not to worry about it.
Speaking of allergies, I should ask my PCP what I can take for mine. It has to be both effective and safe for my liver. That’s a lot.
I also need to contact my liver specialist. Right now, I’m on a waiting list for my return patient appointment. I find that unacceptable. Still, they did renew my prescription for ursodil, but they also sent it to the wrong pharmacy.
My patience is waning right now, which is silly since I still have almost three free weeks ahead of me. I am going to do my best to enjoy them.
